The Return of the King - J.R.R. Tolkien

There was a reason I didn't remember the House of the Healing chapter, obvious reinforcement of Aragorn's legitimate claim to the throne of Gondor.  The Council of the West was interesting and the march to the Black Gate along with the events along the way.  The negotiations with the Mouth were interesting as well, though I found it interesting that none of them noticed that the Black servants didn't produce Sting.  Book V ends with Pippin on the ground in a cliffhanger ending.  Book VI begins with Samwise attempting to figure out who to get to Frodo and deciding not to put on the Ring in the land of Mordor itself.
